About Washaroo Hand Car Wash - East Austin
This East Austin spot opened in 2021 and does everything by hand, no brushes or conveyors. Reviewers bring up the hand wash and detailing most often. Some mention mini details, exterior cleaning, pet hair removal and headlight restoration. There's an air-conditioned waiting room with complimentary refreshments, and walk-ins work for many services. Reviews are mixed. Fans praise the friendly, efficient staff and single out JT and Arturo. One member with an unlimited wash plan says the car stays spotless and the wheels gleam. Others describe thorough interior work, with crews using an air compressor to reach spots a shop vac misses and cleaning the mats. A few say the quality didn't match what they paid, pointing to dirty towel marks and interiors that were barely touched. The line gets long at times. Services include wash, wax, clay bar, carnauba wax and detail packages. Some services are mobile, and full detail packages are by appointment.

“Two stars because it was quick, but otherwise, not worth the money. I did the basic wash which was $45 I believe. It includes tire and rim cleaning and an interior vacuum and wipe down.” – Morgan K., Edited a year ago, on Google
“A Game-Changer for My Car's Appearance. Massive shootout to JT and Arturo! I've always been on the fence about car wash memberships, but after getting a 1-year unlimited membership at Washaroo, I can confidently say I'm a convert.” – Ryan N., a year ago, on Google
“The washaroo is my go to place to have my car detailed! The attendants are always incredibly helpful with great customer service. When it comes to detailing your car, the crews are incredibly detailed.” – Danielle F., Edited a year ago, on Google
