About Truck Wash at Love's Travel Stops
This is the truck wash at the Love's travel stop in Gary, and it handles more than semis. RVs, travel trailers and one-ton pickups roll through too. It's an automated wash with attendants on hand who check problem areas as the rig comes through. The company says it's built to match a hand wash in about half the time. The reviews are rough. Out of 81, the average sits at 2.7. Several drivers say dirt and streaks were still there when the wash finished, and a few mention paying premium prices for a result they weren't happy with. Others report damage, including a smashed antenna and bent mirrors. On the other side, some reviewers describe a clean wash and polite staff, and a couple call the process easy and quick, with one noting about 30 minutes. It runs on posted hours rather than around the clock. If your rig is tall or has anything fragile up top, that's worth thinking about before you pull in.
